During the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the Bhuj airbase is attacked and a race against time begins to rebuild the damaged airstrip. Bhuj : Pride of India is a celebration of the 300 women of Madhapur in Gujarat lead by IAF squadron leader Vijay Karnik who played a pivotal part in India's victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

The Independence Day weekend release, also starring Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar and Ammy Virk, takes a slice out of the 1971 India-Pakistan war. It follows IAF Squadron leader Vijay Karnik (Ajay Devgn) who ensured India’s victory by re-constructing the Bhuj airbase along with the help of 300 women from a local village in Madhapar.

‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ is an Indian war drama film directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya which tells the story of an Indian Air Force (IAF) Squadron Leader, who along with a group of women from a small village, rebuilds an airstrip that is crucial for the country in a war against an enemy nation.

Set in the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, the film tells the story of the IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, and his bravery, patriotism and determination.
